Stacie Shirley joins kwx from her most recent position as chief financial officer at Tuesday Morning, a leading off-price home retailer publicly traded on Nasdaq. Previous to Tuesday Morning, Stacie was the SVP of finance and treasurer at the Neiman Marcus Group. She joins the kwx leadership team as chief financial officer, where she oversees the accounting team and leads financial decision-making in support of the strategic initiatives, focused on maintaining and strengthening the financial health of the organization.
After graduating with her B.S. in accounting, she quickly earned a leadership role at Ernst & Young. She then took a position at CompUSA, an NYSE publicly traded computer retailer, where, after only two years, she was placed at the head of investor relations. In that role, she sharpened her ability to effectively report on past results, while also communicating and analyzing future financial projections and opportunities. Her role eventually expanded to lead the entire finance and treasury functions, where she continued to deepen her experience and hone her financial skills.
Stacie is a leader who believes that open communication is key to cohesive and aligned teams. She’s unafraid to bring her own opinions and perspectives to the table, while being committed to active listening and respecting others’ opinions. She leads by example, bringing her integrity and her positive attitude to all she does.
Stacie said that the KW belief system is the building block of both professional and personal success and supports her personal philosophy of putting others first. “If we begin and end each day with a focus on these tenets, we will be successful as a team and as individuals.” She’s thrilled to join kwx at this exciting time and is looking forward to bringing her extensive experience to the new leadership team. Stacie has lived in Texas all her life and has called the town of Prosper home for the past 20 years. She is married to her high school sweetheart and together they’ve raised two children, McKenna and Ryan. Her daughter is a UT graduate and her son a current student there, so Austin is familiar territory for the family. Her free time is spent relaxing with friends and family, reading, and traveling. She especially likes to try new restaurants, which inspires her other pastime – working off those calories in the gym.Back to All
